Rock Challenge and Substance Aware Schools Award 2019

Rock Challenge 2019

Rock Challenge, this annual and popular event held at Eden Court, was back again delighting three different audiences over three nights.

From the 1st to the 3rd of April, 1460 young people from 21 schools across Highland took place in Rock Challenge. The event is sponsored by the Highland Alcohol & Drug Partnership (HADP), Highland Child Protection Committee, Highlife Highland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. Rock Challenge utilises the performing arts to promote positive life choices and dissuade young people from involvement in drug, alcohol and tobacco use. The event took part over three nights, with six Secondary Schools taking part on the first night. The second night saw eight Primary Schools take part. The final night was a mixed performance with three Primary Schools and four Secondary Schools.

Photos from the event can be seen in the April edition of the HADP newsletter which is available as a PDF document on the HADP website.
