Health Information and Resources
Objective(s)
To source and distribute accessible patient information and resources in a timely manner to staff and service users within North Highland.
In partnership with organisations stock, distribute and audit a large number of patient-facing resources, ensuring these are accurate, up-to-date and of high quality.

Activities
- Stock, distribute and audit usage of patient and staff information resources within North Highland.
- Arrange for up-date of resources as necessary.
- Source replacements/new resources for staff as required.
- In partnership with TAMS and medical illustration, take the lead in mapping all the current patient information available and produced within NHS Highland with overall aim to have each resource available for download on the HPAC website.
- Stock, distribute and audit a number of projects in Highland: condom distribution; free period products on behalf of Highland Council; vitamin D supplements and colostrum harvesting.
- Manage the HPAC system for Highland ensuring all resources are available for staff to order from a number of statutory and third sector organisations.
Governance
- Currently no identified governance or reporting route.
Performance Measures/Outcomes
- Ongoing audit is in place to accurately report on where resources are being distributed and numbers being used.
