Health Inequalities Why bother? training course

Outcome on latest ‘Health Inequalities, Why bother?’ training course

On Thursday 1st March, the Health Improvement team facilitated another ‘Health Inequalities, Why bother?’ workshop to an engaged and enthusiastic group from a diverse range of services from Learning Disabilities to Highland Befrienders.

The course explores why tackling inequalities is everyone’s responsibility, the evidence of what works in tackling inequalities and how to apply the learning in practice. We take a deeper dive into the causes of inequalities, power & participation and how attitudes and beliefs influence our thoughts and actions. The impact for one participant who felt motivated and inspired by the content, summed it up: “Thank you for one of the best training days I have ever attended!”

If you think you might be interested in attending, the Prospectus along with the training calendar can be viewed on the Health Improvement Training section of the NHS Highland website.
